![]() ![]() After reading a guide on Steam a lot of pieces fell into place. However, I'm also a little intimidated by the increase in difficulty I can expect to face at Prestige 1. I'm considering taking a break from the game, but I also want to keep going and see how it goes. To be fair that was "just" at the Introduction level (Prestige 0?) but I still call that a win. The story that has unfolded thus far has been interesting, and I wonder how different choices in future runs will come to affect that? Will I just end up skipping through dialogue that I've seen before? I look forward to seeing how the game handles this.Īfter about 25 hours I've now completed one successful run for each character. It'll cost double (you're paying for two drinks, after all) but you'll improve your relationship with that NPC. ![]() Although there are of course differences.Īfter my first session with the game the biggest lesson I learned was that if you're going to have a drink to recover your Resolve (your hit points in Negotiations) try to have a drink with an NPC. The combat and negotiations use basically the same system and so once I figured out one of them I also knew how to handle the other. For the most part I think I've got a handle on things although the game is quite challenging! You need pretty much every edge that you can give yourself. I'm still in my first run with Sal, the bounty hunter, and I'm still figuring things out. In fact I had pretty much forgotten about the game until I hopped onto Steam yesterday and saw that the full release had dropped! A few clicks later and I was hooked. However, I generally avoid games that are in Early Access and so I've been waiting. The sci-fi western aesthetics of Griftlands was cool and the deckbuilding mechanics looked really interesting. When I heard that they had a new game in development I could feel the hype start to build. and Oxygen Not Included to both ultimately be a bit too stressful for me, I enjoyed my time with them. Don't Starve is still one of my favorites, for example. ![]() Although I never played the Shank games I've played pretty much everything else they've put out. To me Klei Entertainment is one of those studios that just keep getting it right. ![]()
